SLIPFORMED FLOUR STORAGE TOWER AND TRUCK LOADOUT

1. Client Data: Siemer Milling is a family- and employee-owned company with flour mills in Teutopolis, Illinois, Hopkinsville, Kentucky and West Harrison, Indiana. Siemer Milling Company’s primary product is wheat flour milled to different specifications for the making of such foods as cookies, crackers, cakes, pretzels, batters and breadings, bread and biscuits.

2. Contractor/Engineer: Todd & Sargent, Inc., Ames, Iowa

3. Equipment Supplier: Buhler, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

4. Summary of Expansion:

  • The slipformed tower is 50’ wide, 82’ long and 107’ tall (seven stories).
  • Structure incorporates twelve (12) slipform flour bins.
  • Truck loadout systems consist of ten (10) steel tanks mounted on loadcells.
  • Todd & Sargent is the civil contractor responsible for auger cast piling, foundations, slipformed tower, flour bin hoppers, processing floors, and truck loadout bins.
